SNA arrest Al-Shabab Intelligence officer in Lower Shabelle, southwest

Somali National Army arrested Al-Shabab Intelligence officer in Lower Shabelle on Saturday following a security operation conducted by the Government troops in the Janaale area and its surroundings.

The head of Al-Shabab intelligence arrested identified as Hassan Suley accompany by two militias found in the Lower Shabelle region.

According to the Commander of Land Forces, Brigadier Abdihamid Mohamed Dirir, the military launched tactical operations after the resident reported militias hiding in Jananle areas.

The commander also indicated that the co-operation between the military and the local resident increased the access and to get more information from the enemy leading to capture Al-Shabab leaders and their fighters in the lower Shabelle region.
