SNA captures senior Al-Shabab officer in Walawayn district, South-west region

In a press released by the Somali ministry of information declared that government forces captured a senior Al-Shabaab member in Wanlaweyn district on 23 March 2020.

Al-Shabab officer identified as Ibrahim Mohamed Roble who was responsible for Al-Shabab tax collector in Walawayn district captured following another senior Al-Shabab intelligent chief Hassan Suley seized in operation joint by SNA and AMISOM in Jannale area.

1st Danab battalion conducted a successful night operation a days after Janaale’s liberation targeted Al-Shabab militias last week. Government troops increased operations in lower Shabelle regions where Al-Shabab stronghold are based.
