SNA Chief, US Army Commander Visit Forces in Middle Shabelle Region

GOOBJOOG NEWS| MIDDLE SHABELLE: Somali National Army Chief of Staff General Ibrahim Muhidin alongside US Army Special Operations Commander Colonel David Haskell arrived in the Lower Shabelle region Sunday morning to bolster the war against terrorism.

The two military commanders met with SNA forces based in the region where they discussed efforts to strengthen operations against Al-Shabaab.

During the meeting, General Muhidin urged the soldiers to prepare adequately for the resumption of offensives against the militants.

On his part, Col. Haskell praised the soldiers for their gallant efforts and pledged continued support from the US army.

The US Army has worked closely with the SNA especially in supporting ground offensives through targeted airstrikes.
