SNA chief visits military outposts in Lower Shabelle amid ongoing offensives

GOOBJOOG NEWS|LOWER SHABELLE: Somali National Army chief General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhidin is inspecting military bases in the Lower Shabelle district of Aden Yabal amidst ongoing offensives.

General Muhidin is accompanied by National Counter Terrorism Director Abdullahi Mohamed, MPs and Senators from the region.

The military chief is expected to meet soldiers from different units and encourage them as they battle the militant group Al-Shabaab.

A large scale military operation which is also supported by allied clan militia began on Tuesday in several parts of Mudug and Galgadud regions in Galmudug state.
