SNA, clan militia recapture several locations in Gal’ad, Galgadud region

GOOBJOOG NEWS|GALGADUUD: The Somali National Army backed by clan militias have recaptured several locations in the border between Galgadud and Middle Shabelle regions.

The military said the joint force captured Barag Sheikh Aamir, Alihele and Ali Ahmed all under Gal’ad district in the Galgadud region. It added that Al-Shabaab militants were pushed out of these areas but after they destroyed property.

The militants destroyed telecommunication equipment at a communication centre located in the Galcad district after being surrounded by local liberation forces backed by the national army.

SNA and the clan militias have also launched offensives against Al-Shabaab in Elbur district in Galgadud region.
