SNA clash with Al-Shabaab in Bay, communication cut off

GOOBJOOG NEWS/BAY: Fighting broke out Wednesday morning between Somali National Army and Al-Shabaab militants in Bay region but there was no immediate report on casualties.
Sources in the region told Goobjoog News the two sides engaged in heavy fire exchange in an area between Burhakaba and Baydhabo in the early hours of Wednesday.
The soldiers drawn from  the 60th division of the SNA were marooned after the militants rigged roads heading to the area with landmines inhibiting reinforcements from the  capital Baydhabo, sources noted.
The militants, sources added cut off communication further frustrating response from SNA or AMISOM.
