SNA forces kill several Al-shabaab militants near Bula Burte town

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Somali National Army have killed several Al-shabaab militants and injured others in a joint operation with its international partners at Mukeyle area near Bula Burte district in Hiraan region.

According to the Federal Government of Somalia Deputy Minister of Information Abdirahman Yusuf Adala the army also destroyed four vehicles rigged with explosives at a garage in the area.

“Somali National Army’s Danab unit conducted a well-coordinated military operation at Mukeyle area near Bula-burte in Hiiraan region. The forces destroyed vehicles rigged with explosives, the attack inflicted heavy casualties on the militias,” Adala said.

He added that the SNA, regional forces, and international partners are committed to eradicating terrorists throughout the country as soon as possible.

The operation comes days before the Government plans to complete the first phase and  launch the second phase of the total war on the group fighters in the southwest and southern parts of the country.
