SNA forces regain control of more areas in Galgadud as offensive intensifies

GOOBJOOG NEWS|GALGADUD: US-trained Danab Special Force took over Dac area in the outskirts of Elbur town in the ongoing operations against Al-Shabaab.

Danab deputy commandant Mohamed Sheikh told the media that his forces had mounted operations in various parts of Elbur in a bid to dislodge the militants as part of the ongoing offensives.

military sources added that the Danab forces who are part of the Somali National Army attacked Eel Gumad Gaal near Wabho city Thursday morning. The forces recaptured Wabho and Osweyn localities early in the week.

The national army alongside allied clan militia are currently involved in heavy military campaigns against Al-Shabaab in Galgagadud and Mudug regions.
