SNA operation kills top Al-shabaab militants in El-Lahelay

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Three Al-shabaab leaders were killed in an operation conducted by the Somali National Army in El-Lahelay.

However, an official statement from the Army says some civilians were killed and others injured during the operation and were medically evacuated by the African US command.

The statement further denies allegations by the Al-shabaab militants that the US forces conducted an airstrike at the area which caused the civilian casualties adding that the operation was conducted only by SNA forces.
