SNA repels Al-Shabaab attack on Hudur, kills 5 and wounds several
GOOBJOOG NEWS/BAIDOA: The Somali National Army (SNA) has said it has repulsed a night attack by the Al-Shabaab militant group on an Army base in Hudur town of Somalia’s Southwest State.
SNA officials confirmed to State Media that the Army Forced repulsed the attackers and prevented them from attacking the town.
The Commander of the 9th Battalion of the Somali National Army, Mohamed Sankus, and the Reconnaissance Commander of the Brigade, Aden Gabow, said that five members of Al-Shabaab were killed and several others were inflicted with severe injuries.
Hudur, the capital of Bakool region in the South West State of Somalia, has been under Al-Shabaab’s grip in recent weeks, with attacks on civilians and the military being on the rise.
