SNA says it killed 60 Al-Shabaab militants in Mudug region

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MUDUG: At least 60 Al-Shabaab militants were killed during an operation in Mudug region, Somali Army chief Gen. Odowaa Rage has said.

Rage told the media that the operation took place in Eel Qabobe about 30 kilometres south of Harardhere town in Mudug region under Galmudug State.

According to the army chief, 60 Al-Shabaab militants were killed and the military destroyed a pick-up truck loaded with explosives.

He added that his forces had acquired intelligence about the movement of the militants in the area before the operation began.
