Somali Defense Minister Condemns Attack on SNA Soldiers in Middle Shabelle

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU:  Federal government of Somalia’s Defense Minister Abdulqadir Mohamed Nur Friday condemned the recent attack that killed some Somali National Army soldiers and injured others in Elbaraf area of the Middle Shabelle region.

Speaking during a press conference in Mogadishu Friday Minister Nur expressed his deepest condolences to the families and friends of the fallen soldiers killed during attack and wished a quick recovery those injured.  

“I share the grief with the families and friends of the heroes who sacrificed their lives to defend the country. I wish the injured soldiers a speedy recovery,” stated Minister Abdulqadir.

The minister also stated that immediate action will be taken against the perpetrators of the attack, assuring the public that those responsible will be apprehended within 48 hours.

“I want to make it clear here that anyone involved in this act will not remain free in Somali territory,” the minister asserted.

The statement reflects the Somali government’s resolve to maintain security and hold accountable those who threaten the nation’s stability.
