Somali President, Premier joins hundreds of Muslim faithfuls for Eid prayers 

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and his Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre joined hundreds of other Muslim faithfuls for Eid prayers at the newly built Ali Jimale mosque near Mogadishu’s Aden Abdulle International Airport.

The President congratulated the people of Somalia and all Muslims around the world as they celebrate the blessed days of Eid al-Adha, a significant event in the Islamic religion. 

Highlighting the need to fight terrorism in the country, President Mohamud urged the Somali people to work hand-in-hand with the government of th day, in order to bring to an end the insanity caused by Al-Shabaab.

A statement by Hassan Sheikh this morning also called on all Somali people to go out of their way during this special occasion and help their fellow countrymen affected by the drought.
