Somali President visits Adale town

Somalia president today visited Adale town, in Middle Shabelle region to have a firsthand assessment of the situation in the area after the allied forces captured the town weeks ago.
AMISOM and Somali government troops have been dispatched to heighten up the security in preparation for the president’s visit.
He is now having discussions with the local leaders, administration officials as well as residents of the area.
In the past few days several politicians and military officials reached the town to pave the way for the president’s visit to the area.
Adale is some 220 KM away west Mogadishu and was seized by Somali National Army (SNA) with the support of African Union troops earlier this month.
