Somalia Attorney General “We Did Not Abandoned Case with ICJ against Kenya “
Somalia Attorney General Ahmad Ali Dahir dismisses media reports of imminent Somali Government withdrawal from its case against Kenya at the International court of justices.
Earlier in this week Kenyian Foreign Minister Amina Mohmad told parliament that the two countries reached on understanding to settle their marine dispute outside ICJ jurisdictions.
“That is false information, we never agreed with Kenya anything like that and we are certain to push our case against Kenya, Somalia will not compromise any inch of its land” General attorney said
“Four out of the five oil companies have reversed their agreements with Kenya after we have written to them only one Italian company is left over” he added
This comes after an extraordinary Somali cabinet meeting recommended lawyers of the case to accelerate their work on marine dispute with Kenya.
Somalia is expected to submitted further technical document to ICJ of 13th of this month.
