Somalia Police chief reaches Garowe
Somalia Police chief Mohamed Sheikh Hassan Hamud has reached the administrative capital of Semi-autonomous regional state of Puntland.
The chief was welcomed by Puntland police commissioner, Abdirisack Afgaduud, Nugaal Governor at the airport.
Briefing the media on his visit to Garowe shortly after arriving, Hamud thanked the officials who welcomed him.
During his stay in Puntland the police Somalia police chief is set to oversea the different segments of Puntland police including the maritime police force of Puntland (PMPF).
The visit of the Somalia Police commissioner comes weeks after Puntland police chief visited Mogadishu in an effort to solidify cooperation between the two sides.
Puntland, a federal regional government in Northern Somalia owns a fully trained and equipped police forces.
