Somalia’s Cabinet Approves Key Legislation to Curb Social Media misuse

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Federal Government of Somalia’s cabinet Thursday approved a resolution aimed at managing the misuse of social media.

During its regular meeting which was chaired by the Second Deputy Prime Minister Abdissalan Abdi Ali the cabinet also Okayed agreements on cyber security and a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the media regulatory bodies of Somalia and Malaysia.

The Cabinet was also briefed on the latest security developments, including recent operations carried out by the Somali Armed Forces in various regions of the country.
