Somalia’s economic growth on upward trend, new report shows

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: A new report by the Federal Government of Somalia’s National Bureau of Statistics has shown that the country’s economic growth stands at 2.4%.

The report further provides insights into the overall report in the country’s Gross Domestic Product which is based on the expenditure method, which also provides a guideline for the implementation of efficient economic policies that can spur development in the country.

The positive economic trends reveals Somalia’s resilience despite the various challenges such as prolonged drought and the threat by the Al-Shabaab militants.
