South West Education Ministry official shot dead in Afgoye

GOOBJOOG NEWS|AFGOYE: The Inspector General of the Ministry of Education of the Lower Shabelle region of South West State has been shot dead this morning in Afgoye. 

Ali Shanlow Ali, is reported to have been shot dead by unknown gunmen in the Hawa-Tako neighborhood of Afgoye.

The motive of the killing of the official has not yet been established as investigations are still ongoing.

The South West Ministry of Education has condoled with the family of the late Ali Shanlow and the entire education fraternity, and called upon relevant authorities to get into the bottom of the killing of the education official.

The killing of the Education Inspector came shortly before government high school diploma exams were set to begin all over the country with the exception of Puntland and Somaliland.
