South West elections team releases names of candidates vying for 13 seats

GOOBJOOG NEWS/BARAWE: The State Elections Implementation Team of the South West State of Somalia has on Tuesday announced the names of candidates who will be contesting for 13 seats starting tomorrow in Barawe, Lower Shabelle region.

A total of 26 candidates have been registered today and will be contesting for the House of the People seats in Barawe district.

According to a statement recently released by Southwest’s SEIT, election for 7 seats will be conducted on February 9 and the remaining 6 on February 10, 2022.
