South West to hold elections for six seats in Baidoa today
GOOBJOOG NEWS/BAIDOA: The South West State Electoral Team will today hold elections for six seats in the South West’s capital, Baidoa.
After today’s elections, South West will be remaining with 13 seats that are yet to be contested for, and are expected to be concluded in the coming days.
1. The first seat, HOP050 previously held by the former Somali Minister of Labor & Social Affairs, Abduwahab Ugas Hussein Ugas Khalif will today be contested by Ahmed Nur Sheikh Mohamed Lohos and Mohamed Ibrahim Adan.
2. HOP275, held by Sheikh Sha’ir Sheikh Mohamed Hassan will today be contested by MPs Abdisitar Ali Hassan and Ismail Eid Mohamed.
3. HOP183 previously held by Sandhere Mohamed Iftin will today contested by Hussein Ali Adan and Muqtar Mohamed Guled.
4. The fourth seat, HOP230 held by Pro. Abdirahman Adan Ibrahim (IBBI) is today eyed by Jama Taqal Abbas and Abdi Ali Omar.
5. HOP253 held by Samra Ibrahim Omar will today be contested by Adan Mohamed Ali and Abdulkadir Ibrahim Bulle.
6. The last and sixth seat of HOP18, previously held by the former Minister of Defense, Hassan Ali Mohamed Amar-dambe, will today be run by Bille Hassan Abdi and Abdullahi Mohamed Ali.
