Two Gorgor soldiers killed by unknown assailants in Dhusamareb

GOOBJOOG NEWS/DHUSAMAREB: News just in from Dhusamareb, the capital of Galgadud region say that two soldiers were killed and another wounded when gunmen opened fire on a vehicle enroute to Dhusamareb town today.

Reliable sources who spoke to VOA Somalia said that the soldiers who were attacked were drawn from the Somali military, particularly the Gorgor unit.

The assailants are reportedly said to have immediately fled the scene of the attack in a vehicle, and drove towards Bohol area which is the headquarters of the sufist group, Ahlu-Sunna Wal Jamaa.

So far, no military officials nor Bohol authorities have commented on the incident that took place in Dhusamareb.
