Two government soldiers shot dead in Yaqshid, Mogadishu

Two government soldiers have been shot dead by armed men at Yaqshid district in the capital Mogadishu.

Eyewitnesses told Goobjoog News armed men carrying pistols shot at the officers and immediately fled away from the scene.

Security officials cordoned off the area and investigations are underway where so many young men were arrested for the incident.

The motive of the attack was not immediately clear but similar incidents have been reported in the city in the recent past.

The last Saturday al-Shabaab launched an attack on a suicide car at Otto Otto headquarters in the Somali security and interior ministries in the Somali federal government, resulting in a variety of casualties.
