Two MPs elected in Dhusamareb today

GOOBJOOG NEWS/DHUSAMAREB: Galmudug State Elections Implementation Team (SEIT)  has today concluded elections for two seats in Dhusamareb, the capital of Galmudug.

The first seat, HOP#025, was won by the Daynile District Commissioner Mohamed Ali Jafar who at one time deployed forces in Mogadishu in support of the opposition during the April 12, 2021 stand-off.

Jafar emerged the winner after he was voted in by 100 delegates. His rival, Hassan Ali Osman, withdrew from the race.

The second seat, HOP#081 was clinched by Adar Ali Mohammed (Shalaqbeen) after she received 71 votes. Her rival, Nasro Mohamed Dalabeey, just like Hassan Ali Osman, withdrew from the race.
