Two Somali traders killed, three injured in South Africa

GOOBJOOG NEWS|CAPE TOWN: Two Somali businessmen were shot dead and three others injured in a robbery that took place last night in South Africa’s capital, Cape Town. 

Abdirashid Ahmed Sheikh Muhudin and Mowlid Ahmed Adde were killed by robbers in their shops in Strand, a coastal town in Cape Town, South Africa, in the latest xenophobic violence against foreigners and their businesses in South Africa. 

Cape Town police have not yet apprehended the killers of the two Somali businessmen, but officials in the Somali community in Cape Town say they have commenced investigations into the killings.

Killings of Somali businessmen are a regular occurrence in South Africa. So far, no action has been taken by the Somali and South African governments, which have repeatedly said they will address the plight of Somali citizens.
