UK Gov’t, Saudi Relief Organisation Ink Deal To Provide Humanitarian Support To Somalia

GOOBJOOG NEWS|RIYADH: The UK Government and the King Salman Humanitarian Relief Centre have signed agreement to provide $5 million to support humanitarian relief efforts in Somalia.
Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah from KSRelief and the United Kingdom Minister of State for African Development of the UK government, Andrew Mitchell, signed a cooperation agreement on Monday.
According to the agreement, both sides will contribute an equal amount of $2.5m towards to provide nutrition, water, and sanitation services in 15 high-risk areas, benefiting 101,000 Somali children.
The funding will be channeled through the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
