Update: One dies as Al-Shabab fighters attack Baladwein central police Station

Suspected Al-Shabaab fighters have last night attacked the central police station in Baladweyne, prompting hours of fighting, officials of custodial cops say.
Baladwein deputy commissioner for custodial cops, Mohamed Nur Ahmed said Al-Shabab fighters have attacked the station from different directions in a bid to free one of their

own jailed there but the officers managed to repulse them, killing number of attackers in the process.
He underlined that there were no casualties on their side.
“We were attacked by Al-Shabab fighters last night, luckily we suffered no casualties but we killed number the fighters and the station is under our full control” he said.
Al-Shabab fighters did comment on the attack but Al-Shabab has carried out several deadly attacks on Government institutions, army camps and hotels, 27th last month a suspected

Elsewhere Somali National Army backed by Ethiopian troops under AMISOM has today recaptured Buq-Aqable, key stronghold locality from Al-Shabab as part of a renewed offensive.
