UPDATE: Two people dead and five injured in car bomb explosion in Mogadishu

Two people died and five others were injured in bomb explosion near the defense headquarters in  Daynille district in Mogadishu.

The ambulance service, Aamin Ambulance director Dr. Abdirahman Abdulkadir said two people had been confirmed dead and five others transported to hospitals in the city for treatment.

Sources said a saloon car loaded with explosives blew up next to an Italian army truck which was near the Defence headquarters.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack but the militant group Al-Shabaab has conducted similar attacks in Mogadishu.
