US airstrike killed two Al-Shabab militants in Bay region

Federal Government of Somalia in coordination with the Federal Member State and its U.S. partners conducted an airstrike against al-Shabaab militants near Buulo Fuulay village, Southwest Somalia.

On Friday, March 2020 two Al-Shabab fighters were killed in the strike carried out by US forces backed with Somali National Army and AMISOM.

According to a statement released by the ministry of information of the federal government, no civilians killed or injured at the result of this airstrike at Bula Falay area in Bay region.

Al-Shabab has not yet commented about the airstrike that targeted its militias but the statement released by the ministry of information of the federal government didn’t identify the names and the title of the deceased.
