Young man shot dead by security guard in Galkayo

GOOBJOOG NEWS|GALKAYO: Reports from Galkayo, the capital of Mudug state says that a young man was killed last night by a security guard at one of the hotels in the city.

According to witnesses, the young man, identified as Abdi Mahad Abdullahi Mohamed, was shot at severally by a security guard who was manning the hotel following an argument which had ensued between the two. 

The deceased, who until his death was working as a motorcycle operator, is said to have been among the candidates who cleared high school this year and participated in the examination conducted by the Ministry of Education of the Somali government.

The perpetrator of the heinous crime is reported to have been arrested by security forces in Galkayo and taken to court, ready to face criminal charges.
