11 injured after vehicle loses control in Sahal region, Somaliland

GOOBJOOG NEWS|HARGEISA: A road accident that took place this morning in the Sahal region of Somaliland has left 11 people seriously injured after the vehicle they were traveling in lost control and veered off the road.

According to witnesses, the bus, which was being driven at neck-breaking speed, toppled over a hilly section of the road in Sheikh district, causing the vehicle to completely overturn.

Quick intervention by members of the public saw the 11 passengers rushed to Burco hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment.

Somaliland has witnessed several accidents involving passenger vehicles, resulting in the deaths and injuries of many, especially on the road connecting Burao and Sheikh district.
