20 Al-Shabaab Militants Killed in Galgaduud Region

GOOBJOOG NEWS | GALGADUUD: The Somali National Inteligence and Security Agency (NISA) said Thursday it conducted a joint operation with its international allies against the Al-shabaab militants at Galhareeri district in Galgaduud region killing 20 militants.

In its statement, NISA also said it destroyed various military equipment belonging to the militants in the intelligence guided operation conducted with the assistance of air support from international allies.

It added that the operation targeted a radio station used by Al-Shabaab to spread propaganda and a facility where they were making explosives and planning attacks.

NISA says the operation was part of the ongoing efforts to eliminate Al-Shabaab from the country and restore peace and stability.
