6 Inmates escape from a Jail in Beledweyn, central Somalia
Six inmates on Sunday escaped from a jail in Beledweyn the headquater of Hiiran region in central Somalia.
Colonel Farah Ali Macow the prison guards commander of Hiiran told Goobjoog that six of the prisoners had broken into the wall and thus managed to escape.
He added that they are hunting the prisoners and assured to bring them back to prison as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Colonel Farah Ali Macow added that the central jail in Beleweyn town is really in need of major repairs and that anytime such action of prisoners escaping from the cells can happen.
Colonel Farah has called HirShabelle state leaders and security officials to take an immediate response to repair the Beledweyn prison.
