Al-Shabaab launch twin attacks in Afgooye and Bal’ad towns

Al-Shabaab militants Friday morning launched double attacks at Afgooye and Bal’ad towns south west of Mogadishu with initial reports indicating the militants have taken control of Bal’ad town.

Sources have told Goobjoog News the militants attacked a military base in Afgooye with possible casualties feared. Earlier the militants attacked Bal’ad town located some 36 kilometres north of Mogadishu with reports indicating they have taken control of the town.
