Armed assailants kill security guard, set alight mall in Bosaso

GOOBJOOG NEWS|BOSASO: At least one person was killed and property destroyed after armed men attack a shopping mall and set it on fire in Bosaso, Puntland Tuesday night.

Sources in the port city said the men armed with guns attacked Al Maruf trading mall in Bosaso town and killed a security guard before they fled. They hurdled hand grenades at the mall which resulted in a fire that gutted part of the building and destroyed goods.

Fire fighters managed to contain the fire and there were no other reported casualties. The identity of the attack remains unknown and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
