Attacks In Bossaso Kill Bodyguard And Wound DC

At least one person killed and others injured after suspected Al-shabab gunmen have on Sunday evening attacked the residence of Armo district commissioner Mohamed Ali Shire and security checkpoints in latest of string of Storm in Bossaso town of Semi-autonomous regional state of Puntland.
Goobjoog News reporter, Awil Ali state that the assailants targeted two security checkpoints which led to undisclosed number of casualty figures.
The gunmen carried out the second attack on the house of the DC which causes the death of one of his bodyguards and the DC himself sustained gunshot wounds to the upper part of his body.
Puntland authorities did comment on these fresh attacks.
Nobody claimed credit for the attack but as has been the case Al Shabaab group targets government officials and security checkpoints in pre-planned raids in Bassaso town.
