Breaking News: Fighting Reignites in Guri El

Yet another battlehas reignited in Gur El town between Somali Government and Ahlu-Sunna when the Government forces launched an attack on the town, which they were forces to abandon two days earlier.

There are no immediate data available about casualties of the clashes, but residents are reporting heavy artillery fire and anti aircraft weapon used by warring parts.

At least 10 people have been killed in clashes on Tuesday morning between Somali government forces and members of the Ahlu Sunna Waljama’a for control of Guri’el town in Central Somalia, amid of disagreement on the formation of a new state in the region.
