Diarrhea outbreak in Kismayo IDP camps
Internally displaced families in Kismayo, the administrative capital of interim Juba administration are in desperate conditions after diarrhea broke out in the area.
Mohamed Daqane Ali, one of the displaced people in Kismayo speaking to Goobjoog FM said the displaced people are facing harsh conditions as they have no access to medicine and the available drugs in unaffordable to the people in the camps underlining that the most affected people are children, women and elderly people.
These families fled from the drought in Gedo region and since arrival have not received emergency relief from Aid agencies.
Mr. Daqane called Juba administration and international aid agencies to deliver emergency support to the IDP’s.
Our correspondent in Lower Juba says a good number of IDP’s who have been reaching the port city are now living in eight camps within and the outskirts of the town.
