Diarrhoea outbreak in Barire locality and surrounding areas

The outbreak of diarrheal disease and malaria in Barire locality of lower Shabelle region and surrounding areas has left the available health center overcrowded.

One of the locals of Barire locality Ali Abdow Shueb told Goobgoog FM that the number of the affected people mostly under age children increase day after day.

The locals admitted that the outbreak of the disease is attributed to supply of contaminated water.

Our correspondent in Lower Shabelle region reports that many patients from Barire and the nearby areas reached Afgoye hospitals for treatment.
