Election of two seats suspended yesterday set for today in Beletweyne

GOOBJOOG NEWS/JOWHAR: Hirshabelle State Elections Implementation Team is today set to hold elections for two seats whose elections were suspended last night.

The spokesman of the Hirshabelle administration announced Tuesday evening that the election of the two seats had been pushed to Wednesday, the reason being that it was late at night and that there were many candidates in the race.

Nine candidates including Banadir Regional Administration Secretary Hiirey, former MP Ibrahim Habeb will be vying for seat HOP063 previously held by Abdullahi Godah Barre, a former Somali Minister of Education, who will be seeking to defend his seat.

The second seat, HOP 011 will today be contested by former Minister of Security Abdirizak Omar Mohamed, who will be vying for the seat a second time and Mohamed Omar Mohamed.
