Elections for six seats to be held in Beletweyne today

GOOBJOOG NEWS/JOWHAR: Hirshabelle State Elections Implementation Team is today set to hold elections in the House of the People, in Beletweyne.

The elections which had been scheduled for Saturday, were suspended after a dispute arose between the Governor of Hiran region and the Vice President of Hirshabelle, but the issue has reportedly been ironed out.

Below are the seats and their incumbents:

1. HOP003: Mohamud Abdirahman Bene Bene.

2. HOP006: Mohamud Abdullahi Ahmed.

3. HOP022: Osman Mohamed Abdi (Daalo) for the past few years.

4. HOP031: Yusuf Hussein Ahmed (Gama’diid) (State Minister for Justice).

5. HOP032: Abdi Omar (Minister of Trade and Industry Khalif).

6. HOP068: Fadumo Farah Ibrahim.
