Federal government to hold state funeral for Somali lawmaker

The federal government of Somalia is holding state funeral for Somali lawmaker Sheikh Mohamed Madeer who was gunned down in Mogadishu by gunmen shortly after Friday prayers.
Government forces blocked the main roads in the capital especially Maka Al-Mukarama road as top government officials are expected to attend the burial.
Members of parliament, elders and intellectuals have expressed concern over the increasing assassinations against members of parliament and urged the federal government to bring to justice the murderers.
Sheikh Mohamed Madeer was the chairman the parliamentary committee of finance.
