Federal polls body tours Bossaso

GOOBJOOG NEWS/GAROWE: A team from the Federal Electoral Commission has today toured Bossaso, the venue of the 16-seat Parliamentary elections set to be held in the coming days.

Members of the Federal Electoral Commission, accompanied by the Puntland Electoral Commission (PEC) inspected the venue for the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The visit comes hours after the Puntland Electoral Committee announced the elections for the 16 seats which will be held in the port city for two consecutive days, March 5-6.

Puntland State is among the states that failed to meet the February 25 deadline, and is now scrambling to secure the election of the 11th House of the People of the Federal Parliament before the expiry of the new timeline, March 15th.
