Galmudug elders promise to speed up reconciliation in the region

Galmudug traditional elders attended meeting about  promoting  the role of elders towards security and reconciliation process was held in Galkayo, the headquarters of Mudug region.

The meeting organized by GSA, a local Ngo was attended by the minister for reconciliation of Galmudug regional state Hassan Farah Bare , traditional elders from various areas in Galmudug and other officials.

Mohamed Elmi, senior official representing GSA in the meeting said the aim of the meeting is to promote the leadership role of the elders and enable them to guide the people to the right path and speed up reconciliation in the region.

The elders promised to tirelessly work towards reconciliation and maintenance of security in the region.

Finally the minister stated that his ministry is committed to collaborate with the elders by giving them seminars to upgrade their leadership roles.
