Gudlawe orders for the immediate arrest of killers of prominent elder

GOOBJOOG NEWS/JOWHAR: Hirshabelle State President Ali Gudlawe Hussein has ordered for the immediate arrest of the killers of a well-respected Hirshabelle elder who was shot dead Tuesday night, in Beletweyne.

Abdi Hussein Olow, a prominent traditional elder in Hiiran region was shot dead as he left a Mosque in Beletweyne after evening prayers. 

Gudlawe extended his condolences to the family and friends of the late Olow and promised that no stone would be left unturned in the quest for justice for the slain elder.

The killing of the elder came barely hours after the Hirshabelle Head of State had reached preliminary agreement with traditional elders in Beletweyne  to end a year-long standoff that has been dragging on since his election in November 2020.
