Hawiye traditional council expresses its concern over Guri-El war
Hewiye traditional council has expressed its concern over Guri-El war which caused many casualties and displacement of hundreds of Guro-el residents.
Elder Ahmed Diiriye Ali, Hawiye Council spokesman who gave exclusive interview to Goobjoog FM said that the recurrent clashes in Guri-El town have claimed many innocent lives as the two sides wrestling over the control of the town and destructed immense of properties therefore it is incredible for well-minded people to accept this ongoing community eradication.
He called the warring sides to accept ceasefire and head the negotiating table to solve the differences.
“It is not tribal clash, it is between the government and Ahlu-Sunna waljama’a therefore the sides have consider the well-being of their people” Mr. Diiriye said
There are emerging initiatives from the different parts of society to ease the tension and the hostility of the groups while international community called the sides to truce.
