Heavy rains stall traffic between Garowe and Galkayo

GOOBJOOG NEWS | PUNTLAND: Traffic was interrupted today on the road between Garowe and Galkayo following a heavy downpour experienced in Buurtinle district, in Puntland’s Nugal region Wednesday night.

The rains caused heavy flooding making the road impassible with the worst affected area being Jalam area of Buurtinle district where residents reported loss of property.

Heavy rains have been reported across the country including Jalam district which has also reported heavy flooding around Hawdka area.

Residents of the areas are now in fear of being displaced by the floods as the rains continue to pour across the country.
