HirShabelle announces election schedule for HOP009

GOOBJOOG NEWS/JOWHAR: The HirShabelle Elections Implementation Committee has announced the election schedule for HOP 009, one of the remaining seats in the Hirshabelle administration.

The committee said that registration of candidates and verification of candidacy requirements will take place on April 22, while election of the HOP009 previously held by Sheikh Abdisitar Barsane, will take place on Saturday, the 23rd of this month.

Two seats are remaining in Beletweyne, including the HOP135 seat left vacant by the late MP Amina Mohamed Abdi.
