Hirshabelle Minister of Reconciliation resigns

GOOBJOOG NEWS|BELETWEYNE: HirShabelle’s Minister of Reconciliation Eng. Abdikarim Ali Nur, has tendered his resignation to the State’s President Ali Gudlawe.

In a letter dated June 14, 2022, the former Minister of Reconciliation said his decision to resign was informed by, among other issues,  President Gudlawe’s failure to deliver on his promises to Beletweyne, which included solving the power sttruggle in the region.

Abdikarim Nur also cited failure by the HirShabelle Administration to pay him his salary and allowances, even after working for over 2 years. 

In addition the embattled former government official said he was forced to resign after many people lost their lives, owing to failure by the HirShabelle Head of State to solve the current political impasse in the region.
