Hirshabelle polls team announces election schedule for 7 seats

GOOBJOOG NEWS/BELETWEYNE: The Hirshabelle State Elections Implementation Team has announced the election schedule for 7 seats in Beletweyne, the capital of Hiraan region.

A statement from the elections team has put February 25 as the date for registration, training and verification of candidates particulars, while Friday, February 26 is the election date for the 7 seats.

Below are the seats up for contest and the sitting MPs:

1. HOP#003: Mohamud Abdirahman Bene Bene.

2. HOP#006: Mohamud Abdullahi Ahmed.

3. HOP#022: Osman Mohamed Abdi (Daalo).

 4. HOP#031: Yusuf Hussein Ahmed (Gama’diid), State Minister for Justice.

5. HOP#032 Khalif Abdi Omar, Minister of Trade and Industry.

6. HOP#068: Fadumo Farah Ibrahim.

7. HOP#252: Abdulaziz Salah Arman (former Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs).
